How To Order Wonderfully Mad Hats - Information Listing Only

This listing is to explain the process of how to order my mini top hats and request custom orders.

I have been on Etsy for 8 years with great reviews and experience. In the announcement section (below all the listings) you will see the links to my other shops if you want to check out their reviews. I used to have my top hats in my wreath attachment shop but took them out and put them in their own shop. I know you will love my whimsical little hats.

MINI TOP HAT GENERAL INFO

The most popular size people order is the medium which is 4.5" high from the base of the hat to the top of the hat. All the brims are wired as well so you can shape it. I have 4 sizes available of each hat that you can choose before checking out. The picture of the lady wearing the hat is the medium size. this was a custom order that she requested so I don't have this actual hat in my shop but you can request it as a custom order.

All my hats are made to order. I do not keep any stock of any of the hats available ready to ship. This allows me to have more space for supplies to make my items and not have stock that may or may not sell. Before ordering please look at the processing times listed under the shipping area of the specific hat listed. I try to keep it at 5-7 business days but it could change the busier I may get.

PURCHASING LISTED MINI TOP HATS

When you find a hat you like that is in my shop there will be some options you need to choose in order create the hat you want. Below are the options:

ATTACHMENTS
* None - most use this option if they are using it in a wreath, display, or on a mannequin head

* Headband - The headband is a wider headband which I have pictured. Having a wider headband keeps the hat stable and from flopping around. A smaller headband would not give it enough stability while wearing it.

* Alligator Clips - There will be two alligator clips on the bottom of the hat so it can be attached to the hair directly. The image I provided of Ashton wearing her harlequin hat is how she chose to have hers and you can also see how she is wearing it. This is a popular choice.

* Elastic band - This is also a very popular options for both a hat with or without an opening. There will be a white .25" wide piece of elastic attached to the bottom of the hat. This option and the clips option are my two most used options.

OPENING OPTION - IMAGE SHOWS BOTH OPTIONS - Please put this option in the personalization section - This is required to be able to check out.
* None - This is the most commonly used option

* Opening - a small hole at the bottom of the hat. This just gives the look of a regular hat that has an opening for the head to be worn. There's really no functionality to it.

SIZES:
My popular hat size ordered is the medium size mini top hat. I do have 3 other options if you would like something bigger or smaller. Prices will vary depending on the size and hat you purchase.

*Micro Mini 3" Tall
* Small is 3.5" tall
* Medium 4.5" tall
* Large - 5.5-6" tall

You will have the option to choose which size you want before ordering.

CUSTOM ORDERS - Full payment is required on all custom orders before anything will be made

If you are wanting a custom order, which is something that is made with your specification such as color theme, palette, fabrics, etc, I can do that but the process is a little different. I have listed the process below.

* Contact me directly on Etsy to start a conversation about creating a hat made special for you

* When the design, colors, and fabrics have been agreed upon, a RESERVED listing will be made and emailed to you here on Etsy

* Once the payment has been made the order will go in my que and the processing time is then 1-2 weeks to make the hat. The reason the processing time is longer for custom orders is because supplies may need to be ordered to complete the finished design and depending on shipping times to get the supplies it can take up to 2 weeks - ONCE THE PROCESS HAS STARTED THERE WILL BE NO CANCELLATIONS

* Before the hat is shipped I will be sending you an email on Etsy to show the finished hat to see if anything needs to be changed or if it is approved to your liking as is,

* When the approval of the hat is confirmed then a tracking number will be sent to the email you provided in your Etsy account when you set it up. Etsy sends the automatic email letting you know it's ready to be shipped and adds the tracking number to your email. The email is not sent from me directly. The tracking number is also listed on your order under your "Purchases" tab.

You may be asking why full payment is required on all items in order to start making the item. Well, that is a good question. When I first started out on Etsy I used to make the custom order and then charge for the item. 9 times out of 10 I would not get payment for the item after it was completed and customers would not reply to emails requesting payment. The ones that did reply would state they changed their mind and didn't want it so now I was stuck with a product I made specifically for someone that I had to try and sell. I learned my lesson the hard way, so now I request the money up front. If I am going to take my time to make an item I will be getting paid for it. I hope that makes sense.
